Our UUCS congregation extends a sincere welcome and open hearts to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) people and their families. We are a caring, open-minded spiritual community that encourages you to seek your own spiritual path. Our church is a place where people gather to nurture their spirits and put their faith into action by helping to make our communities—and the world—a better place.

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane has been a designated Welcoming Congregation since 1993. We support and participate in the Spokane Pride March and Festival every year, annually host the local Transgender Day of Remembrance, and were leaders throughout the long, and ultimately successful, campaign to make marriage equality the law in Washington State and the country.

Our congregation is committed to promoting acceptance, inclusion, understanding, and equity for LGBTQ people of all colors, races, and ethnicities, both within our church and in society at large as a matter of justice.
