Well, people … it is that time of year for me once again—VACATION TIME! Somehow I always seem to neglect going on vacation until I have to! As an employee, my church year ends on June 30, so I need to get in my vacation time before then or I lose it. I will be gone for the first two weeks of June, back for Sunday, June 20, and the following week, and then gone for Sunday June 27, and that last partial week, as my family is celebrating the lives of four people who have died over the last 14 months. I have known and loved every one of these people for most of my 73 years on the planet, so it is very important to me to be with my family when they are remembered.
A lot of planning has been done so that you all will be well cared for musically when I am away. I want to thank all those musicians in advance for their generosity in sharing themselves musically in the upcoming Sundays. First of all, thanks to the “army” of song leaders who will lead you in hymns and songs: Peggy Eklof, Kelly LaGrutta, Pam Larratt, Jean Larson, Donna Borden-Rhodes, Kelsey Christensen, Susan Bachmeier, and John Hancock.
