The Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane is looking for a good pianist for Sunday mornings between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. This time includes possible brief rehearsals before services, coordination time with the Music Director and two Sunday services. The weekly base pay is $130 per Sunday. Additional 1½ hour Choir rehearsals (when Choir is in session) are $50 per Thursday evening. Occasional side rehearsals with soloists, etc. are $35 per hour/$20 per half hour.
Position Requirements:
- Late intermediate to advanced skills as a soloist & accompanist
- Sight reading
- Performance experience
- Ability to perform in a variety of genres: pop, folk, jazz, classical
- Ability to work with amateur congregational musicians
- Chording skill & improvisation a plus
