December 7, 2021

Well, do we have some December musical treats for YOU!!!

Last Sunday  you got to hear our new permanent pianist, Maura Kegley, play her beautiful arrangement of God Bless the Outcasts from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She found she had lent her copy out, so she just created her own gorgeous version for us! Check the archived service on line if you didn’t get to hear her—it’s worth it!
Dario Re shares two of his original songs with us—Holy Moon and Lost My Religion (Make a Religion). Don’t miss him—what a talent!
Nine brave singers from our Choir have answered my call for a Christmas Vocal Ensemble. This is the first time we have had any version of our Choir sing for us since we had to disband on March 12, 2020!!!  They will be singing Christmas Time is Here and The Bells of Christmas Medley. I am SO excited to be doing some choral music once again!
Join us for our Winter Solstice Singing Ritual online at 7 p.m.! We still can’t really do our huge Solstice service during the pandemic—you probably remember how packed we always were for this event. So, we are offering our Zoom version again this year. It was very well attended last year—almost 100 people—and I received so many grateful comments from those who couldn’t imagine their holiday season without this service.
Larissa Cox treats us to her lush saxophone sound, the Christmas Vocal Ensemble sings Enya’s White is in the Winter Night, Peggy and Kelly do their wonderful version of Beautiful Star of Bethlehem and Karin Llyr mesmerizes us with her velvet tone on the flute. Plus carols, of course!
We get to hear Larissa Cox on the sax once again before she flies away home.

So come to church this month and get your treats!  We want to see you!!!
