Healthy Relations Team

Our Mission:  We meet monthly and as needed. Our team members are appointed by the BOT, and charged with promoting Healthy Relationships at UUCS by practice, advising, teaching, and facilitating constructive communications. We diligently refine our skills through reading and training and keeping current with healthful models of conflict resolution and maintenance of healthy relationships. We facilitate one-on-one conversations, and group or church wide conversations that will encourage healthy relations and conflict resolution. We listen and maintain confidentiality.

If you would like to join us, please contact Devon Greyerbiehl (509) 838-4314 or email

Path to Membership

Our Team’s Mission is:  Our team’s mission is to encourage people to move from being visitors to becoming active members of our church.  The Path to Membership team is a welcoming group that strives to include new members into our congregation, giving them a sense of belonging, and helping them make meaningful connections with other members of the congregation.

If you would like to join our team, please contact Pat Warpenburg or Johnna Woodruff.

Pastoral Care Team

Our Mission:  Facilitate a caring response by the members of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane towards members and friends in a crisis or life transition.  Provide compassionate care in partnership with the minister and congregation to individuals who want emotional or personal support at times of life changes.  Increase congregational skill and connections in responding to interpersonal concerns of members and friends.

If you would like to join us:  It would be appropriate to talk to any one of the members of the Team and express your interest in becoming a member of the Pastoral Care Team.  Then you would meet with one or both of the chair persons to see if the Team would be what you were looking for.  There is also paperwork to complete including a Confidentiality Statement.  We would especially welcome some younger members.
