John Dietrich’s Sermon “What is a Liberal?” – As Presented and Amended by Rev. Eklof

Our church was the first to call Rev. John H. Dietrich to a Unitarian Pulpit (in 2011) and is where he first began calling himself a Humanist. Dietrich went on to become an original signer of The Humanist Manifesto (1933) and, later, the Father of Religious Humanism. This will be Rev. Eklof’s first in a series of occasional presentations meant to honor Dietrich’s memory and wisdom by updating and re-presenting some of his famous predecessor’s most cherished sermons.
