Paul Lindholdt

Paul spends leisure time on road and mountain bikes when weather permits, and in yoga classes year-round. His wife Karen and he just returned from a yoga retreat in Troncones, Mexico. Our UU Religious Education director, Stephanie Gronholz, often teaches him yoga and Pilates. Paul cherishes his job as English professor at Eastern Washington University, where he leads classes in research, literature, and environmental humanities. He cowrote and edited The Spokane River several years ago. His book Interrogating Travel is forthcoming. As an itinerant professor, Paul attended UU churches in Bellingham, Moscow, and Pocatello before moving to Spokane with Karen 28 years ago and finding the Spokane UU community. He and Karen have two boys. Chase is a junior at WWU. Reed finished at the UW and is applying to medical school programs. Paul serves on our church’s guest speaker committee.
