A Workgroup of the Legislature is asking our opinions on the Washington’s state tax structure!

Let’s seize this opportunity to complete a survey, by November 5, to say that the Spokane Alliance wants a system that is fair and equitable, i.e., based on the capacity of individuals and businesses to pay. In other words, we want progressive, not regressive taxes to fund systems that support kids, families, and thriving communities.  Special and powerful interests have created many tax breaks for themselves. This is our chance to clean up the upside-down tax code, where those with the least pay the most while the richest get special deals.

You don’t need to be a tax expert to participate.  You can skip any questions and you can add in comments that you desire progressive taxation.  The most important thing is that the Workgroup hears our voices before tax legislation is proposed.
