The Power of Community

Each year, our pledge drive invites us to reflect on what makes this congregation such a meaningful and vital part of our lives. This year’s theme, The Power of Community, speaks to the many ways we come together to create a meaningful home grounded in connection, compassion, and shared purpose.

At the heart of our community is a spirit of welcome. We open our hearts and our doors to one another and to those who are still searching for a place to belong. This welcoming circle is not something we take for granted—it is something we actively create and sustain together. Your pledge helps ensure that this inclusive and nurturing space continues to exist for all who seek it.

Community grows stronger through connection. In times of joy and in moments of challenge, we show up for one another—building friendships, offering care, and creating a network of support that sustains us. The programs, gatherings, music, and pastoral care that foster these connections are made possible through the generosity of this congregation. Together, we create a place where no one has to walk alone.

Our community is also guided by deeply held values. We are called not only to care for one another within these walls, but to extend compassion, service, and justice into the wider world. Through outreach, advocacy, and everyday acts of kindness, we live our Unitarian Universalist principles in meaningful and impactful ways. Your pledge strengthens this shared work and helps us continue to be a force for good beyond our congregation.

Finally, we recognize that sustaining this community is a shared responsibility. This congregation exists today because generations before us gave their time, talents, and financial support to nurture and grow it. By contributing what we can, we ensure that this meaningful home remains strong and vibrant for those who are here now—and for those who will come after us.

As you consider your pledge, we invite you to reflect on what this community means to you and how you can help sustain it. Every gift, in any amount, is a meaningful expression of commitment and care.

Together, we are the power of community.
