Our special collection for the month of April will be for the Lewis and Clark Environmental Club.
The Lewis and Clark Environmental Club is focused on active change in addition to education and discussion of environmental issues.
They have been involved with the Spokane River Clean Up, collaborating with school’s DECA program to reduce use of plastics and the Art department to highlight coral bleaching and ocean issues. They have worked on state legislation to reduce waste, the WRAP act, which is important and far reaching way to reduce plastic waste. LC has stopped official recycling within the school so the club is taking care of classroom recycling once a week. They are in the process of seeking to become a Green School Certification or Gonzaga’s Climate Cup.
If this ministry speaks to you we invite you to give generously.
If you’d like to contribute to this special collection, you may do so when it is announced during services on the third Sunday of the month, by mailing a check to the church (4340 West Whistalks Way, Spokane, WA 99224) or by donating online at the church website. Thanks again for your kindness and generosity!
