August 2025

Our special collection for the month of August will be for the Spokane Immigrants Rights Coalition. When the federal government perverts our justice system and attacks our community and those who defend it, we show up for us.

That’s why we have the Community Justice Fund to provide emergency aid to immigrants right here, right now, in Spokane. Parents taken away need funds to make phone calls to their families. Kids need assistance for food. Our neighbors and clients need funds for legal defense against deportation when they are detained. You can help us defend our communities by giving to the Community Justice fund today.

  • $2,000 covers legal aid fees for defense against deportation.
  • $500 covers transportation for a family to travel to immigration court in Seattle.
  • $250 covers an emergency medical expense.
  • $100 provides emergency food assistance to an immigrant family.
  • $50 covers the cost of one ID card application.

If this ministry speaks to you, please give generously.

If you’d like to contribute to this special collection, you may do so when it is announced during services on the third Sunday of the month, by mailing a check to the church (4340 West Whistalks Way, Spokane, WA 99224) or by donating online at the church website. Be sure to note in the memo section that your contribution is for the special collection.

Thanks again for your kindness and generosity!
