Welcome to the new year and all that is good coming your way.

Sue Stiritz traveled, a 28 day trans Atlantic cruise, the month of November. And, was a crazy woman the month of December trying to catch up with all one returns to after a long trip, and also shop, wrap and prepare for Christmas. The cruise was fabulous but she’s ready to stay home for a while.

While Sue was away, church members enjoyed a Thanksgiving potluck and a very fun costume dance. These activities bring us together in comaraderie and joyful sharing. We had another music event at our church in December and Sue looks forward to even more. When you see them advertised please share it with your friends. As is said, the more the merrier!

Church life continued to move along these last few months with the loss of several members and friends we all knew.

On November 18, 2026, Les Stone, long time partner of Phyliss Thayer, passed suddenly. A memorial will be held in the spring.

Sally Kleaveland’s memorial will be held at Rockwood Southhill, on March 21, 2026. Rev. Todd will officiate the service.

Larry Hodge let us know that his wife Linda died the morning of January 3 and will be remembered in a memorial service on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at UUCS.

Each of these friends gave willing of their time and energy over the years to our church. Their friendship was meaningful and they will be dearly missed by many.

On December 6, 2025 in sunny San Diego, Phoebe Dierdorff married Ty Irving in a lovely afternoon ceremony. The bride and groom honeymooned in Costa Rica. Phoebe is the granddaghter of member Sue Wotring and the niece of Angie Dierdorff.
