A Grateful, but Slightly Belated Thank You!

October 30, 2025 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Before the memories of our Howl-O-Ween Concert and Dance drift too far into the autumn mist, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many people who helped make the evening such a spirited success. Our accompanist, Jackie Sandberg, along with Rachae Thomas and the rest of the band, filled the sanctuary with wonderful music that kept the energy high and the dancers delighted.

We are also deeply grateful to the Hernandez family, Tom Mosher, and Dale and Jenny Avery, Rebecca Adams and Michelle Caldwell for their invaluable help behind the scenes. Whether it was setting up, cleaning up, hauling, organizing, or simply stepping in wherever needed, your efforts made the magic possible.

Better late than never — thank you all for bringing such joy, talent, and support to our community event.

Our sanctuary was transformed into a lively lair of laughter, music, and mischief on October 30 for our Howl-O-Ween Concert and Dance. Nearly everyone arrived in costume—vampires, witches, pirates, and all manner of ghoulish and glittering creatures filled the room. The atmosphere was warm and festive, with the glow of candlelight and the sound of good music setting the tone for the evening.

Guests enjoyed wine, beer, cider, and plenty of snacks, while conversations and laughter flowed as freely as the refreshments. The highlight of the night was the costume contest, where creativity and humor were on full display. The top honor went to Jean Larson, whose frightful hag costume earned her the title of Best in Show.

It was an evening of joy, connection, and community spirit—a true celebration of fun and fellowship. The enthusiasm from attendees was clear, with many suggesting we make this an annual event. Judging by the smiles and dancing feet, it seems we’ve started a new UU tradition!
