Listening Season Conversations

Our Spokane Alliance team will be hosting listening season conversations on November 1, 2026, and November 15, 2026, after the second Service about 12:30 p.m. If you have never attended a listening season the process is its best to let us know you are coming so we can have enough hosts for each small group. We break into groups of 6-8 and each person has a few minutes to answer the questions. What is a problem you’re facing that you can’t solve on your own. Everyone in the group listens to the person talking without interference. Then there is some time for follow up questions and better understanding of everyone’s pressures. Once that is done there is another round of Why does the UU Church of Spokane matter? And what keeps you showing up? Again everyone listens and time at the end for follow up. Conversations generally take about an hour depending on the size of the group. The leaders take some notes that are generalized and shared with the full Spokane Alliance community in January where the top concerns are voted on by the full assembly and we are given some direction of what to address in the upcoming year.
If you are interested in participating please email Barb Stuebing at barbstuebing@gmail.com with your preferred date and any questions.
