Facility and Grounds

Located off Government Way at the west end of the Whistalks Way corridor, our building is contemporary and reflects our commitment to the inclusion of people of all ages, gender identities, abilities, and mobilities.

Our parking lot has space for 150 cars, and a small bike rack is also available. We encourage people to carpool and to leave the parking spaces closest to the building for those who have mobility issues.

We have a dedicated Safety Team with specialized training to ensure that each member and visitor to our facility has an optimal experience.

Rentals

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane is located at 4340 W Whistalks Way, near Spokane Falls Community College. The building has ample free parking and a variety of meeting and special event spaces to accommodate both large and small events. In addition, the church can provide audio/visual equipment as part of your rental agreement including optional live streaming of your event. When necessary, a Facility Host will be on hand during the course of your event to assist you with facilities and equipment needs.

Our spacious Sanctuary (seating capacity up to 200) with adjoining Friendship Hall provides an attractive, welcoming space for weddings, receptions, concerts, dances, graduations, small festivals or lectures. Both can be arranged to meet your seating and reception needs. The Sanctuary suggests simplicity and serenity with high windows which connect the space to the outside world.

Our audio-visual system includes an audio loop for hearing assistance and a big screen for photo shows and videos. Live streaming of events is available.

The kitchen space is available only for use in conjunction with another event being held on our property, or for one-time use independently. It is not available for long term use. Our fully equipped commercial kitchen adjoins the Fellowship Hall and comes complete with commercial appliances, multiple sinks and a pass-through counter.

Our Chapel is perfect for meetings and intimate events with seating for 60. The sliding glass windows open onto a tranquil memorial garden with pathways and basalt fountain, and our back garden courtyard which includes picnic tables and a gazebo. The chapel is also equipped with a large screen TV suitable for showing movies or presentations.

Our Religious Education Wing has classroom and meeting spaces available. 

Our grounds are available for outdoor festivals, weddings and social events.

Memorial Garden

The UUCS Memorial Garden, located on our church grounds, provides a tranquil setting for the commemoration of church members. Ashes may be buried on church grounds and names may be engraved on the basalt stone columns.

Meditation Labyrinth

Visit our property and walk our mediation labyrinth. Located just behind our Memorial Garden, commune with nature in a peaceful and uplifting experience walking our labyrinth.
