In this guest presentation, Chauntelle Lieske, the executive director of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Spokane, and Scott Bowmer will provide information about NAMI and how to get involved or receive support. In our Own Voice presentations change attitudes, assumptions and ideas about people with mental health conditions. This presentation will provide a personal perspective of mental health conditions, as leaders with lived experience talk openly about what it is like to have a mental health condition.
Chauntelle Lieske is the Executive Director of NAMI Spokane and has become passionate about supporting those living with mental health conditions after losing her mother to suicide in 2014.
Scott Bowmer is a long time volunteer and advocate for NAMI Spokane. He has been sharing his lived experience to advocate for others and reduce the stigma around living with mental health conditions.
