In this guest presentation, Madeline McNeill will explore the philosophical history of the mind-body split that led to the “computer brain” model of the mind and compare it to emerging scholarship in embodied cognition, which posits that the mind is an embodied process. From this analysis, Madeline will share her thoughts on the way forward to cultivate human creativity alongside technology.
