The topic of the State of Israel and its treatment of Palestinians has long been taboo in the U.S. Bringing it up can be extremely divisive, even among liberals, even among liberal Unitarians. It takes courage to discuss the matter in public but discuss it we must—openly and honestly—if this 75 year conflict, the ramifications of which continue to impact much of the world, is ever going to be resolved.
