I often refer to the Bible as the “Binder,” to convey that it’s really a collection of disjointed texts written, edited, and accumulated over hundreds of years. Yet there are a few commonalities in many of its writings, including an ancient and profound appreciation for the sacredness of the Earth and nature. In this sermon we’ll look at the ways in which this is so in both the Hebrew and Christian scriptures.
