Services are held at 9:15 & 11:00 a.m. each Sunday. Water is immense in its power to affect the environment around it. Drops, rivers, streams, the ocean – they all create and carry forth change. Using the Unitarian Universalist Water Communion tradition, we will explore change and the waves we each make.
The first Sunday of the month is traditionally when we honor our graduating seniors with a Bridging Ceremony. This year we will be adding to that ceremony with a Child Dedication ritual and lots of wonderful music, featuring UUCS members and youth.
This year’s Earth Day service will be a youth-led, multigenerational service, looking at the past, present, and future of climate change. Quick humor and Star Trek included.
Water communion is a sacred ritual of Unitarian Universalist communities often used at the end of the summer. This year, we will have a water ceremony, and celebrate the importance of coming back to our source, as an entire church family.
Intergenerational Service
Intergenerational Service: : At the core of Unitarian Universalism lay the Seven Principles. We know we’re supposed to know them all, but do we? The Sr. High youth of the congregation, assisted by their younger counterparts, take us through the Seven Principles, their history, and how they can be compared to a rainbow.
This inter-generational service will explore various origin stories from around the world, seeking new meaning for persons of all ages. This service will be jointly conducted by Aria Curtis, our Interim Director of Children & Family Ministry and Rev. Dr. Todd Eklof.
