March Meaningful Movie

We have a wonderful movie to watch for March Meaningful Movies. You do not want to miss it. Ask for Jane tells the story of seven very courageous women who defy the law and create an avenue for young pregnant women seeking the services of an inexpensive and safe termination of pregnancy before the Supreme Court’s decision legalizing abortion in 1973. It is based on a true story of a group in Chicago calling themselves the “Women’s Liberation Movement”. What could be better than that?

Please watch the movie (running time 1 hr 45 min) before our discussion on Wednesday, March 17 (yeah, I know it’s St Patrick’s Day) at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. You can watch the movie for free on Kanopy, available with your library card. It’s also available for $2.99 on VUDU and for $3.99 on Amazon Prime Video.

Anticipate a great discussion led by our panelists: Jane Bowen, a founding mother of Planned Parenthood Spokane; Cindy Fine, who worked at Planned Parenthood from 2006 to 2012 first as a community health educator and later in staff training; and Sarah Dixit, Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and Northern Idaho Public Affairs Senior Organizer.

We will send out the Zoom link to those who email us at meaningfulmoviesspokane@gmail.com. Please join us.
