Lifespan Education and Community Programming

Religious Education programs at UUCS provide a wide variety of Lifespan Education. From Children and Family ministries and OWL, to a vibrant Adult Enrichment program there is something for everyone at UUCS. Our programs are carefully chosen to enrich, enlighten and encourage our children, members, and friends, and to achieve our mission to Create Community, Find Meaning and Work for Justice.

Adult Enrichment Programs

Our programs are presented for adults to give us the chance to go deeper – intellectually, socially, ethically, and spiritually. Utilizing curriculum recommended by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the expertise of our community and individual members, our goal is to provide, quality, relevant and meaningful experiences, instruction and discussion to our adult members.

Children and Family Ministry Program

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane offers a vibrant and engaging Children and Family Ministry Program which includes community and family events, opportunities for multi-generational spiritual growth, and ongoing religious exploration for children and youth.

The Unitarian Universalist Seven Principles and Six Sources are at the heart of all the programming we provide and we hope to provide all our children and youth with a strong UU identity. Our mission is to give our children and youth, and their families, the tools to move through this world with compassion, integrity, and the ability to think critically. Please take this opportunity to explore our website and the wide variety of classes and programs available.

Our Whole Lives – Lifespan Sexuality Education

From Kindergarten to Adulthood…Our Whole Lives helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior. It equips participants with accurate, age-appropriate information in six subject areas: human development, relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, and society and culture. Grounded in a holistic view of sexuality, Our Whole Lives not only provides facts about anatomy and human development, but also helps participants clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality.
