Karen is a Spokane lawyer, mother, and travel enthusiast. She and Paul moved to Spokane in August 1994. That same month, they married, she passed the bar exam, and Paul began his job at Eastern Washington University. Karen has been fortunate to represent public-interest environmental groups, low-income individuals charged with crimes, foster youth, and people injured due to others’ negligence. When not working, she can be found on the ski slopes of Schweitzer or swimming in Lake Pend Oreille. Her proudest accomplishment is raising two kind, thoughtful, compassionate young men in their sons, Reed and Chase.
