Lilia Riordan- Rodgers

Lilia is a secondary history teacher currently working at Garry Middle School. At the moment she is teaching seventh grade Washington State History. She recently earned her Master of Teaching from Whitworth University after obtaining a Bachelor of History from The Evergreen State College, with a focus in world history and antiquity. She has a passion for activism and social justice and can often be found reading anything from educational books surrounding anti-racism to historical fiction.

Lilia has a constant urge to travel, as learning about and experiencing cultures new to her is her favorite thing in the world. She has been attending the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane with her parents, who are also members, for the past ten-ish years. She knew that she belonged here when she saw the pride flags and heard the congregation sing SHALOM for the first time. She is also a practicing Pagan and Wiccan with a deep love for Mother Earth and her magic energy. Lilia is ecstatic to finally become an official member of our church and is honored to be welcomed here!
