Missingmoney.com: What’s this website? It is a free website that anyone can use to search for unclaimed property or money that may be listed on any state or federal register for such things.

On a whim, I entered my name and a couple other bits of info and did a search for all states. Much to my astonishment, I found I had unclaimed money from an insurance company at my last place of residence. I also have unclaimed funds in a bank in my hometown, which I left in 1966 … and this was money sourced in my name and childhood address in 1985. I have filed a fairly simple claim in each case; but, it will likely take 3 or 4 months to process my claim. Check it out! You may have some unclaimed property or money.
