The Vanessa Behan is the recipient of our special collection the month of April. Vanessa Behan’s vision is to provide immediate refuge for children and support to strengthen families. They have set up a special donation link at  www.vanessabehan.org/uuchurch if you’d like to donate in this way. As always, the special collection will be taken at church the third Sunday of the month, which is this coming Sunday, April 16, 2023.

As you might imagine, their needs list changes frequently. They update it on their website regularly and you can fin it at https://www.vanessabehan.org/give-today-to-keep-kids-safe/supply-donations/. If you want to bring supplies this Sunday, they are in need of formula, diapers sizes 5 and 6 and baby wipes. We will have a box for those donations.

Coming Sunday, April 30, 2023: Our guest speakers will be from Vanessa Behan, which has been a safety net for thousands of families for 36 years. In this joint presentation, Lacey Renner, the Development Director for Vanessa Behan, and Amy Vega, the Executive Director, will talk about child development, generational cycles, and how Vanessa Behan helps break these unhealthy cycles by providing immediate refuge for children and ongoing family support.
