This coming month I will be looking for congregational members to help out with the summer music program. So I would be glad to talk to any of you with musical skills that may want to “get out there” to share your talents during June, July and August. You could either be a soloist — instrumental or vocal — or help lead the hymns and songs for a service. As a soloist you could do the main piece right before the sermon — and the Offertory, too, if you so choose. As a song leader you could help pick the songs you lead. Both are a great way to engage with the congregation and can help in getting to know people here.

I’m also open to small groups and duos. We like a wide variety of music around here and I do like to keep it light during the summer, so choice of music is usually not an issue.

If you’d like to do something, but are not sure about this, please do talk to me. I should be able to answer any questions and help make things work for what you may have in mind.
