On Sunday, October 8, 2023, the Memorial Garden Team will be hosting an open house in the Memorial Garden. Newly updated brochures will be available in the Fellowship Hall. The garden is available to members and friends who would like to have their names engraved.

At a Visioning convocation in October 2001, church members indicated that a Memorial Meditation Garden was a leading priority.

In January of 2002 Kathy Swehla of Land Expressions was chosen to design the garden. Kathy said, “The garden should be an experience, not just a place … .” She visited the site at different times of day to sit and discover the ambience of the space and to come to an understanding of how to integrate this special place into the rest of the grounds.
