The March special collection is for our Partner Church program, supporting our relationship with the Unitarian Congregation in Felsőrákos, Romania. For 35 years we have been learning from each other, widening our understanding of what it means to be Unitarian/Universalists. The funds we collect will be shared with the women’s group which participates in local conferences along with the youth, food for the children’s summer camp, the youth group, and art supplies for RE. Funds are also used for those in need at Christmas. At Christmas they make decorations and sell them at the village fair to help fund their own program.

Funds may also be used to support travelers to or from Spokane, as that’s what keeps the partnership alive. They have often been used to help Felsőrákos with building repairs. Our partners have received a grant to make major repairs to their historic church but must first pay for some complex paperwork. We would like to help with that, with your generous contributions.

If you’d like to contribute to this special collection, you may do so when it is announced during services on the third Sunday of the month, by mailing a check to the church (4340 West Whistalks Way, Spokane, WA 99224) or by donating online at the church website. Be sure to note in the memo section that your contribution is for the special collection.
