Tom and Mary Mosher are very proud of their son, Aaron, and the company he has been with since 2002. In the latest notice from “dataPARC University,” Aaron is identified as the ‘Director of Engineering’ of Capstone Technology’s dataPARC division. ‘dataPARC’ is part of BTG Group, headquartered in Germany, a multinational provider of highly specialized industrial process solutions. Aaron’s initial involvement was with a small (12-15 employee company), CAPSTONE, in Washougal, WA, a small town east of Vancouver, WA. Over the years, Capstone evolved into a division/section of this international company. Aaron’s team serves clients located in multiple countries on multiple continents.

Aaron earned an undergraduate degree and master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Idaho. He worked in Sweden for about 18 months with a pulp and paper company. He also spent a year in Finland as a Fulbright Scholar doing research in pulp and paper before completing his master’s degree. His degrees and work in pulp and paper industries in Sweden and Finland established him as a valued new Capstone employee in 2002.

Aaron, his wife Maarit (they met and married in Finland), three daughters, three dogs, and a cat live in Portland, OR. During his extended university years, Aaron became an accomplished rock climber, climbing in 6-8 states, Canada and two Scandinavian countries. His climbing adventures included multiple 1000 foot, multiple day climbs in Yosemite NP – including El Capitan, Leaning Tower and Half Done. Aaron solo hikes a couple times a year, recently circumnavigating Mt. Saint Helens. The family enjoys playing and following local Portland soccer teams, camping, skiing, snowboarding and generally the best the Pacific NW has to offer.

My recent trip to Tucson, Arizona was an adventure of birding watching. I saw 62 species of birds, from hummers to owls, and Sandhill cranes. These cranes would soon be on their migration north. Very likely to southern Washington state. My new binoculars did me well and I was really able to take in the beauty of each bird.

If you enjoy birding I highly recommend areas south of Tucson. If you would like some tips call me or look for me at church (Sue Stiritz).

If you have something you would like to share in the Wheel of Life please email me at sstiritz@yahoo.com or call 509-475-1376.
