The Women’s Hearth is a one-of-a-kind downtown day center for women providing community, activities, classes, social service referrals, and housing-search case management in a compassionate and supportive environment seven days a week. Participants also have access to phones, computers, internet, healthy food, hygiene supplies, free showers, and a respite room. Program Director Susan Tyler-Babkirk said that their Christmas outreach this year will look different during COVID-19 and they are focusing on gathering supplies for folks who are camping out. You can help by donating the following:

  • Activity books (adult coloring, crosswords, Sudoku, word search)
  • Antibacterial ointment
  • Bus passes (2-hour)
  • Chapstick
  • Colored pencils/markers
  • Cough drops
  • Deodorant
  • Gloves
  • Hairbrushes
  • Hand and foot warmers

Rebecca says the best time to drop off items would be during office hours, Monday-Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be a box in the foyer to limit contact with others. Thank you!
