Thomas Jefferson once said, “Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government.” A healthy Democracy depends upon its citizens knowing, not what to think, but how to think. In this sermon we’ll consider what this means and why we need a well-funded public education system, now more than ever, that succeeds in fostering sound thinkers.
