In this guest presentation, co-speakers, Ben Stuckart and Gavin Cooley will be discussing solutions to homelessness in Spokane with a focus on successful regional models, housing as the solution, and why services matter.

Ben Stuckart was born and raised in Spokane. He has two degrees from Eastern Washington University. He served as the City Council president from 2012-2019. He is currently the executive director of the Spokane Low Income Housing Consortium. He and Gavin Cooley helped create Housing and Help, a web series of documentaries seeking “proven solutions to end the homelessness crisis.”

Gavin Cooley served for 18 years as the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Spokane. He worked for six Spokane mayors and is currently spending his time convincing folks to get together and solve homelessness.
