There are strange ideas these days that, for many, make no sense and that can’t be rationally explained by those who do embrace them. In struggling to find the right term for this weirdness, it has been called “political correctness,” “cancel culture,” and “wokeism” when referring to those on the Left ascribing to it, “extremism,” “alternative facts,” and “conservatism” to those on the Right, or “idiot,” “zealot,” and “nut job” to either. No matter which side of the political spectrum its adherents are on, what we’re really talking about is Postmodernism. In this sermon we’ll explore its roots and problematic tenants in order to better grasp what the hell is going on.
