Rebecca Adams, our Operations Manager, recently told me a one liner that led me to formulate my own version of her excellent joke, “Not only am I an atheist minister, I’m also part of a nonprophet organization.” When some people learn that I’m a “nonbeliever” and that most Unitarians are unorthodox, to say the least, they wonder why we call ours a religion and even bother going to a “church.” In this sermon, I’ll reflect upon these questions and offer my reply.
