The Eyes Have It: The Crucial Importance of Looking at Another’s Face and Eyes

Injustice happens when we can’t see the humanity of others. We recognize our common humanity by looking into each other’s faces. Skirting our eyes away from those we disregard, whether in person or through the overuse of impersonal email and text messaging, makes it easy for us to dehumanize one another. In this sermon we’ll explore this phenomenon and what we can do to mitigate its impacts in this age of mass communication.
