Jerry While, Jr. became the Spokane Riverkeeper in 2014 after being an official advocate for fish and rivers for many years. He has conducted education and outreach by removing litter and collecting data on water quality, shorelines, and riparian buffers. He continues to negotiate on behalf of the public regarding PCB pollution and water quality standards in our basin.

The Spiritual Nature of Place and How Environmental Advocacy Can Be Spiritual Work.

Services are held at 9:15 & 11:00 a.m. each Sunday. Jerry White, the Spokane River Keeper with the Center for Justice, will speak about the spiritual aspect of rivers, both as symbols and as actual forces in our lives. He’ll share ideas about global rivers and then focus on our own very special Spokane River.

Jerry White Jr is a Riverkeeper and conservationist with a long history of working to protect rivers in the Inland Northwest. As a former staff member of Save our Wild Salmon, Jerry advocated for the restoration and protection of native Snake River salmon and steelhead.
